2020 JARCC Summer Festival Cancelled

UPDATE: April 15, 2021

The JARCC Board of Directors has regrettably decided to cancel the 2021 JARCC Summer Festival. This marks the second consecutive year that we have had to forego our much anticipated annual summer event.

As the primary fundraiser for the organization, the Festival provides significant funding for our on-going facility maintenance and operations. It has also allowed the club to traditionally maintain reasonable fee structures for our members. In the end, however, the Board and Festival Committee were driven by the fact that - even with the accelerated adoption of effective COVID vaccines - for now, we still have concerns in placing membership and the public at risk of infection during the preparation for and hosting of the Festival.

The JARCC Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 JARCC Summer Festival.

As the primary fundraiser for the organization, this decision was arrived at after a good deal of analysis and discussion. As many of you know, the annual Summer Festival provides significant funding for our on-going facility maintenance and operations. It has also allowed the club to traditionally maintain reasonable fee structures for our members. In the end, however, the Board and Festival Committee were driven by a number of factors:

• • Our concerns at placing membership and the public at risk of infection during the preparation for and hosting of the Festival

  • Uncertainty over the future arc of the pandemic and corresponding health agency restrictions applied to large gatherings and physical distancing

  • Fortunately, per our Treasurer, we should have adequate funds on-hand to cover routine operating costs for the coming year
